CRJE
CRJE – a Committee for Belonging and Equity
We are a Committee made up of a diverse group of Center School parents and family members that seek to enhance the culture of belonging at the school. Through events and opportunities for discussion, the Committee tries to ensure that families and students of all races, cultures, sexual identities, religions, gender expressions, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds feel included in the school community.
This year, the Committee’s co-chairs are:

The Committee:
- hosts and facilitates events that bring families and staff together to create connections and relationships.
- creates spaces for Center School Community members to talk about and talk through issues related to belonging or equity.
- supports student clubs that promote belonging, celebrate the diversity of our student body, and are open to everyone, like the BBAA and the GSA.
- engages with administration when concerns related to belonging or equity are raised by members of Center School Community.

We acknowledge that this date is now a sorrowful anniversary of a brutal attack from Hamas on Israel. We will make space for reflection at the meeting.

Mix & Mingle
We will host a Mix & Mingle in the school yard on Friday, October 25th at Center School (Time: TBD). The Mix & Mingle is a community event that brings families, students and Center School staff together. We will provide pizza (including a gluten-free option). Please bring your own beverages.

Pledge Drive

Auction
The auction committee will have their next meeting Wednesday, October 16th in the courtyard after drop off. All are welcome to attend!
We will be assigning teams and sharing our timetable, and will choose our auction theme!
