Finally, SO CLOSE! The much-talked-about Center School Auction is back in-person in the school cafeteria on March 9th at 6pm. After a three year hiatus with only virtual auctions, we are going live and in spectacular fashion to celebrate the “Superheroes of the Center School”! It’s worth the wait.
Your help is needed! Please Sign up to both 1) VOLUNTEER and 2) either bring a food dish to contribute to the potluck or send in to Ms. Berkery $25 cash/check made out to “Center School PTA”. ***Important: every family is expected to sign up for (at least) one slot on March 9th in order to make the night a success***

Kids For Ukraine
Kids For Ukraine: One-Year Anniversary
During the Mid-Winter Break, it will be the One-Year Anniversary since the start of the War in Ukraine — and since 8th Graders Nazar Navada and Connor Margolis founded Kids For Ukraine. Recent news reports have conveyed the renewed urgency of the situation, especially given the cold weather months.
Here’s what you can do to help:
- Join Our Photo Contest on Feb 24: wear Blue & Yellow to show your support!
1. Take a pic while wearing your hoodie, T-shirt, hat, ribbon, whatevah!
2. Hold up a sign which says “I Stand With Ukraine.”
3. Post to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn; tag: #IStandWithUkraine + #Kids4Ukraine
- Buy some Merch on www.kids4ukraine.org. Spring is around the corner, and your kids will be having a growth spurt!!
- Make a donation, via Kids For Ukraine website or our PayPal: kidsforukraine243@gmail.com. Feel free to leave a message along with your donation.
- Talk about the ongoing war in Ukraine with your kids. Encourage them to engage in acts of kindness, social justice and community support.

Nominations are now open for the Big Apple Awards. Nominations will be open until February 28, 2023. Everyone is encouraged to nominate a teacher by clicking here or emailing NYC Public Schools here.
