Auction
Thanks again to all who made last week’s Auction/Potluck Dinner such a success! We will be holding redemption before/after both of the TACS shows this Thursday.
If you haven’t yet, PLEASE pick up your items so as not to create more work for the auction volunteers or Ms. Berkery.
Also, please let us know if you are interested in getting more involved in the auction next year. It’s a wonderful way to be a part of the Center community, to get to know the school, parent body and teachers better. We are looking for new co-chairs and will be happy to work with anyone interested, Email us centerschoolauction@gmail.com.
CRJE
District 3 Superintendent Kamar Samuels is hosting a monthly Town Hall “Courageous Conversations about Equity.” The first one took place on February 28th and some CRJE members participated. These Town Halls allow families and educators in D3 to connect and converse with one another about our experiences and advancing equity in schools in our District. The next Town Hall will be on the evening of Tuesday, March 21st. Be on the lookout for registration information coming from the D3 office.
Special Events
April 25th is the Center School’s Annual Writers’ Night at Prohibition located at 503 Columbus Avenue & 84 street (one block from Center School). Writers’ Night is a great way to hear Center School parents and teachers read from their very own works and a wonderful way to support our community. We look forward to seeing you at this evening of extraordinary storytelling.

Community Events
Today is the 11th Annual Brain Fair.
The Fair includes exhibits and activities including a 3D surgery simulator, a Meet the Experts booth featuring some of Mount Sinai’s most prominent neuroscientists, and a large inflatable brain (a walk-through brain exhibit). Attached is a full list of activities that can be found at the Brain Fair.
The event is open to the public from 3-5pm today (Tuesday, March 14) at the Guggenheim Pavilion at The Mount Sinai Hospital (102nd Street and 5th Avenue).
