Great news, the 2024 Participatory Budgeting votes have been counted, and Center School was one of five projects that will be funded. The upgrade to the electrical wiring will begin in July!

Special Events
Writers Night is April 26th, 6PM @ Prohibition (503 Columbus Avenue between 84th
& 85th streets)
 Come support the talented and imaginative members of the Center School
community who will be sharing their original written works. This wonderful and
inspiring event gets more popular each year and is a great chance to socialize
with our community including the teachers. 
 We welcome donations to the Center School PTA to support our community
special events. Any donation amount is truly appreciated. Thank you in advance
for your generous support of these events!

Please join us for an evening for the adults in the Center School community (families, teachers, staff, etc.) to connect with one another over food and beverages while talking about deepening the community of belonging at The Center School. Community is created through connection.
And nothing helps connect people like sharing a meal together.

We will be hosting our PTA and SLT elections in May. We currently have several positions that will be vacant next year, so we are looking for members of our community to run for office.

Community Education Council Elections 2023
CEC Elections start today, April 21st and run through May 9th. Center School has multiple community members running. We have included all the candidate profiles here: https://apps.schools.nyc/CECProfiles/CandidateListByDistrict/03
WHERE DO I VOTE:
From April 21 through May 9, log in to your NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) and click on the “Vote” tile to proceed to the voting site. Once there, you will automatically be presented with ballots for all the councils you are eligible to vote for—it’s that easy!         
WHY VOTE:
CCECs work directly with schools and the NYC Department of Education to advocate for all NYC students across 32 Districts and 4 Special Councils in New York City. They are an important part of affecting policy change and outreach to help make our schools work for everyone. Your vote ensures the right people get this authority.

District 3 Update

D3 Science Expo: Postponed
The D3 Science Expo scheduled for April 29th has been postponed – this is due to
feedback from D3 school communities and based on many factors. In its place, please stay tuned for a Spring D3 STEAM Fair later in the school year! We will share details with you as soon as we have them.
