For the Center school budget:

  • The overall budget is $171k which is down from $209k last year.  We aim to bring in as much as we spend each year.
  • The biggest change from last year is the cut to the Urban Fellows program ($45k) after losing the grant ($35k).  We are pursuing the grant again to reinstate that partnership.
  • We hope to raise a bit more money ($10k) from donations and matching donations next year to break even on income/expenses.
  • The school programs bucket allows the PTA to supplement the direct fundraising the students do for these activities.  It does not cover all the costs.
  • The Computer Teacher is the largest single item.  His work is integral for the smooth functioning of the school in our very digital world.
  • We are fortunate to have a great partnership with a well-run school.  Our funding assistance maintains the exceptional standard at the Center School.
