School & Community Events
Mix & Mingle:
We will host a Mix & Mingle in the school yard on Friday, October 20th at Center School from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. The Mix & Mingle is a community event that brings families, students and Center School staff together. We will provide pizza (including a gluten-free option). Please bring your own beverages.
We can’t wait to see you!
Halloween Party:
The school will host its annual Halloween party on Friday, October 27th. Students have received their supply assignment and should also bring in a non-perishable canned or boxed food item. Students should wear regular clothes to school that day, but bring in their costume to change into at lunchtime.

Auction
The Auction Committee is proud to announce the theme and tagline for our 2024 Auction!
Our theme is, “Magic” and the tagline is, “The Center School, Magic At The Center Of It All.”
Thank you to everyone who contributed to brainstorming and developing a theme that encompasses this special community!
Special thanks to Jackie Rothschild for coordinating graphics that are just perfect for the event!
We will be holding a meeting for those who have volunteered and those who are interested in volunteering on Tuesday, October 17th at Lenwich, 469 Columbus Avenue at West 83rd, after drop off. We will be discussing donations, food, decorations and operations. All are welcome to attend.

UWS Outreach
COAT DRIVE FOR MIGRANT FAMILIES
We are collecting coats/jackets/scarves/hats/gloves for migrant families in the neighborhood. It’s that time of year…if your children have outgrown last winter’s gear, you can donate any items! We will take items for adults and children. Have your student bring them into the Center School office and leave by Ms. Berkery’s desk. Questions? Email Sara Leeder.
